4 Life Changing Vegetables That Heal The Body (Part 1)

Doctors will prescribe you different medicines that can help your body recover from illness but what they do not address is the underlying cause of why you are sick in the first place!  It is essential for you to understand that most illnesses can be prevented or cured with foods, fruits, or vegetables that are natural which can be grown in your very own garden.  Below are 4 vegetables/fruits that will begin to get you on the road to health in no time.

Avocadoes, Eggplant, Pears

Avocadoes, Eggplant and Pears target the health and function of the womb and cervix of the female – they look just like these organs.  Today’s research shows when a woman eats one avocado a week, it balances hormones, sheds unwanted birth weight, and prevents cervical cancers.  And how profound is this?  It takes exactly (9) months to grow an avocado from blossom to ripened fruit.  There are over 14,000 photolytic chemical constituents of nutrition in each one of these foods (modern science has only studied and named about 141 of them).

Tomatoes

A tomato has four chambers and is red.  The heart has four chambers and is red.  All of the research shows that tomatoes are loaded with lycopine and are indeed pure heart and blood food.  Instead of buying spaghetti sauce from the store, try making your own from scratch with fresh tomatoes.

Celery, Bok Choy and Rhubarb

Celery, Bok Choy and Rhubarb and many more look just like bones.  These foods specifically target bone strength.  Bones are 23% sodium and these foods are 23% sodium as well.  If you do not have enough sodium in your diet, the body pulls it from the bones, thus making them weak.  These foods replenish the skeletal needs of the body.

Onions

Onions look like the body’s cells.  Today’s reserach shows that onions help clear waste materials from all of the body cells.  They even produce tears which wash the epithelial layers of the eyes.  A working companion garlic, also helps eliminate waste materials and dangerous free radicals from the body.

Aside from these fruits and veggies there are also many folks who stay healthy from liquid minerals and vitamins which are composed organically from the earth. These are suggested because they are strictly composed organically and they enter the bloodstream immediately unlike normal over the counter vitamins.  Also the potency level is extremely high.

The Golden Rules To Eating Before A Workout

Strawberry Smoothie

Strawberry Smoothie

You can’t starve your way to fitness. You have to eat the right kinds of foods to help you achieve your goals. Whether you want to look thinner or more ripped, gain muscle mass, or just have more energy, food is your friend. That being said, feeding your body before a workout to generate the most amount of energy, create the chance to burn as many calories as possible, and fit into your real time schedule can be a bit of a dance.

To those of you who think not eating before exercising is a great thing to do you could not be further from the truth. First of all, if you are going to work out in the morning your body has just burned 80% of your glycogen (main energy source that is stored in your liver and muscles for energy) while you were sleeping. So you need to replenish your energy reserves to help your body work efficiently and to have enough energy to actually do the “work” in working out.  I know you are probably thinking that you will burn more fat and get those shredded abs alot faster this way but the body just doesn’t work like that.  Think of it as a car and gasoline, the car can only function when there is gasoline in it but if it is empty then guess what, it will not move.  The same can be said for your body.

If you don’t normally eat in the morning then start off with small meals to get you accustomed to eating first thing. If you don’t want to eat, it’s fine to go the smoothie route, which is rich with nutrients. Oatmeal is great to sustain your energy. And for something quick and to the point, a banana with almond or peanut butter for a solid burst of energy is also great.  Remember the goal is here to burn up body fat and build up your muscles.

If you aren’t going to workout until the end of the day, then go ahead and have a giant lunch because you have plenty of time to digest it. And you will need that energy when you are ready to go.

To give you an idea of how we burn through different types of food, it takes four to six hours to digest fat, three hours to digest protein, and two hours to digest carbohydrates. I wouldn’t eat too much fiber long before or right after exercise since it can cause bloating and a bit of an irritation in your GI tract. You don’t want to have the sensation of gas while working out (unless of course you are trying to keep other gym members away).

If you only have fifteen minutes as you head from work to the gym, then drink a smoothie. Try rice or almond milk as your base, throw in some frozen fruit, powdered protein, a banana–and if you are getting wild, some greens–and off you go. If you feel like getting crazy you can add flaxseed meal for thickness and some Udo’s oil.

No, potato chips aren’t a great pre-work out meal, and watch out for energy bars. Eating too many sugary bars can work against you in the weight area: Some are not that far off nutritionally from a Snickers.

Another critical thing to pay attention to is what a lot of professionals call the golden hour: the sixty minutes after you train that is so pertinent to recovering and refueling muscles. This is a great time to eat a protein-rich meal.

Just remember the time line for how long it takes to digest food and strategize about what would be best to eat and when. Remember your mantra, “food is my friend.”

10 Approaches To Rip Up Body Without Going to the Gym (Part 2)

Perfect Side Bridge Form

Perfect Side Bridge Form

Run, Jog, or Walk

Doing any of these 3 in your neighborhood park beats moving in place on a treadmill at the local gym any day! When you are outside you are getting fresh air and more importantly you are running on terrain that is not as balanced as a treadmill which gives your legs and entirely different workout.

Go to bed early and Get up early
Your body needs a certain amount of hours to rest without you doing any exercise so you must understand that while you are physically taxing the body you have to rest more. Your muscles do not grow the very same day that you are training them because they actually need time to recuperate and refresh themselves for you to see significant results. By doing this you also have more time in the day to do whatever it is that you desire.
Normal Pushup/Shoulder Push
Pushups have been cutting fat and building muscle for years!  Start in a normal pushup position and do 10 reps of normal pushups, then immediately after you finish drop to your knees and do 10 reps of shoulder pushups.  The only difference between the two is that your knees and toes are on the ground when you do shoulder pushups and you will definitely feel the burn in your shoulders on the second exercise. You can do the repetitions according to your own personal strength just be sure to challenge yourself a bit.
Eat your heaviest meal of the day before 3 o’clock pm
The lunch or mid day meal should normally be the heaviest meal because you remain active for the entire day and that is the meal to get you through the entire day. The night meal is just to supplement you and knock out your hunger.
Body Squats
Here you isolate the gluts, hamstrings, and quadriceps muscles. You simply stand with you feet flat (shoulder length apart) arms folded and squat down until your legs form a 90

degree angle. Do not allow your knees to exceed your toes when you are squatting because this will put more pressure on your knees and cause problems later on. If you have an issue with balance you can hold on to something for balance or you can do the body squats up against the wall. One key that is of the utmost of importance in health and fitness is doing the exercises with correct form. Do 40 repetitions daily.

10 Methods To Cut Up Your Body Without Going to a Gym (Part 1)

Cut UpSomewhere along the way we have forgotten about those original health and fitness formulas that afforded our ancestors to live to be 90 and 100 years old.  Below are 10 suggestions to enhance your health and nutrition and also give you back the time that you spend in the gym in stead of with your family

Drink plenty of water
The purpose of drinking water is to flush the system constantly because after all, the body is primarily composed of water.  Water plays a big role in cutting body fat.  Two thirds of the earth is covered in water so the same can be roughly expected from the human anatomy.   To make sure you’re drinking the adequate amount of water, you can take your weight (lets say, for example – 160 pounds) and divide it in half (which would be 80 pounds) and change the “pounds” to “ounces” (therefore 80 ounces instead of 80 pounds), and then you’ll be drinking half of your body size in water (mathematically speaking).
Eat little meals more often throughout the day
The object here is to give the digestive system a chance to function at its optimum efficiency. By eating fewer and heavier meals it makes it much more difficult. Your body can certainly break down the fat much easier this way!  This also gives you an opportunity to eat those fruits and vegetables for snacks instead of potatoe chips and snicker candy bars.
Swim
Hands down the best exercise to lose weight in the history of mankind!  Swimming makes you use every part of your body and is a unbelievable cardio workout. This exercise strips fat, breaks down fat, targets triceps, strengthens leg muscles, rips up your back and much more. I can promise you that every single part of your body will feel fatigued after you finish swimming.  It is highly likely that you will want to sleep  also.
Abdominal Crunches after you wake up and before you sleep
If you want to break down your stomach fat this exercise will be key in assisting you in the fat journey. Roll out of bed and do 15 to 20 crunches before you start your day and do the same 15 to 20 reps either before you take your nightly bath or before you go to sleep. I promise you this takes literally one minute of your day! It is important to remember that the amount of work you put in is the amount of success you will get out of it. I just like to put all of the exercises at the absolute least amount of reps so that you understand that anyone at any age can do these.
Body Bridges
This exercise targets all parts of your core muscle group (center).  There are three ways to do body bridges, the first is targeting your abs.  Start in a pushup up position and place both forearms to the floor (with fists balled up) and hold for fifteen seconds.  Second is targeting your obliques.  Here you will start by laying on left  side of your body and raise up  on your side until all your weight is being held up by your left forearm.  Hold for fifteen seconds then switch sides and do it with your right forearm.
Finally we have, targeting your lower back. Start by laying on your back with both arms by your side with palms faced down.  Next, bend knees until both feet are flat on the ground. From here all you will do is raise up with all the pressure of your body being on your elbows and back of your arms. The goal is to push your hips to the ceiling and hold for a 30 second count. Naturally the amount of time will vary between individuals but everyone can at least start at 10 second holds.

5 Secrets That Help The Aging Process

The Youth Formula

The Youth Formula

Have you ever seen that 75 year old man that is at the health club, swimming a mile every morning at 6 am in the morning? Or The 69 year old woman that looks like she is 55? There are age old secrets that most of us have ignored or not thought about but have secretly wondered what it is that these people are doing. Check out these 5 extremely simple steps you can insert into your daily lifestyle.

1. Get at least 8 hours of sleep

For a lot of us sleeping has not been high on our list of priorities but sleeping needs to be top priority because without rest our bodies cannot function at optimum condition. When you stay up until 2am or 3am in the morning it puts a lot of stress on the body and to ask it to get up again at 7am with only 4 hours of sleep is a bit unfair. Most people who have lifestyles that require them to stay up until the wee hours of the night and get up early, wind up looking very old very quick.

2. Get in 2 good meals a day

It is a known fact that most of us eat when we are not hungry, which also stresses out the digestive system and over works it. The key is to only eat when we have reached our hunger threshold and more importantly don’t stuff the plate. Substitute fish for red meat. Fish has the omega fatty acids that our body needs and fish is also less taxing on the system.

3. Exercise

You probably have never thought about this but many people that live in apartment complexes are probably in decent shape simply because they have to walk stairs everyday! Whether they know it or not they are getting their daily exercise in. Exercise can be any form of movement for an extended amount of time, it does not just boil down to lifting weights, running on the treadmill or going to that dance aerobics class that you love so much.

4. Be sure to eat a fruit and vegetable serving daily

Oranges, apples, avocados, broccoli, carrots are all fresh produce that the body cherishes. They are extremely essential for the body because they contain what we call antioxidants. These antioxidants allow the body to fight off all kinds of bacterium that is not wanted, and moreover they nurture the body as well. Eating fruits over taking vitamins is more effective because fruits go directly into the system and begin to break down while vitamins take longer and is not always absorbed fully by the body. Did I mention that this is a great remedy for those with body fat.

5. Have a conversation with someone

Communication with another individual not only makes you feel good but it stimulates different parts of the brain to begin functioning. In short, it makes you think which in turn keeps your mind sharp. This is the same reason that many doctors encourage reading, so that your mind will not become lazy and dormant. The mind is like anything else, if you do not use it you will lose it!

3 Ways to Lose Weight Naturally

Weight Loss Naturally

Weight Loss Naturally

Ok, so it is a safe bet to say that everyone that has tried to lose weight has at some point or another used some kind of weight loss program, have had a fitness trainer or been on a special diet. These are all great starts for getting you that body that you desire but they do not address the 3 major core problems.

Cut down on your bread intake
This is one of the main reasons why it is very difficult for people to lose weight because they simply love to eat bread. Did you know that there is some form of bread in almost each product that we eat (not including fruits, veggies, meats, milk, mixed nuts) daily! The next time you are in your kitchen or in the supermarket look at the back of the product and check out the product contents and if you see anything that says: bread, yeast, flour, baking soda then you are indeed eating a bread product!

The reason that you want to cut your bread intake is for one reason and one reason only: BREAD BLOATS YOU. Bread makes you look a lot bigger than what you really are so each time that you eat bread your stomach will probably stick out a lot more than it normally does.  The Goal is to be in top shape not out of shape.

Do not eat when you are not hungry
Our bodies are perfectly built and have built in mechanisms to let us know when we need something and when we do not need it. Many people seem to think that when you get up in the morning it is mandatory to eat a breakfast, but nothing could be so far from the truth than this. If you eat late at night it is literally impossible for you to be hungry when you wake, because the body is at a resting state!

A normal body that ate at 9 o’clock at night and went to bed should not be hungry until about 11am or 12pm the next day. The issue here is that we are programmed to eat when we get up because we are told that breakfast is the most important meal of the day which is another complete joke. When you hear you stomach growling or you really feel hungry then that is the body telling you to re-fuel it and it is truly that plain and simple, we just love to complicate things.

Do not eat a meal 3 hours before you sleep at night
I can see everyone’s head spinning right now! This is the most important of all because eating heavy meals late at night is very commonplace among the human race. Let’s put it this way, If you eat at 10 o’clock at night and go to bed at 11 o’clock when will your food be digested? The answer is that it will not start until the next day once you get up! When you are sleeping your body is in a dormant state so it is doing nothing but recharging itself, so there is no real work being done. If this is taking place then that simply means that the food you ate will be sitting your belly all night long turning into fat. So it is important for you to eat at an ideal hour like 7 o’clock or 8 o’clock.

Having those great ab programs will help you cut up that stomach but you give yourself an even better chance by improving some of your habits first.
